Dear Colleague,

Improved Hearing in Noise with Dual Microphone Zoom Technology1
Hearing in noise is the most challenging listening situation for any individual. However, most of our interactions take place with noise all around us. The Cochlear™ Nucleus® 5 Sound Processor offers dual microphone zoom technology designed to provide cochlear implant recipients with improved hearing in noise. In a recent study using dual microphone zoom technology average hearing scores improved by 3.5 times over the Nucleus Freedom, the previous industry benchmark2-5. 100% of patients showed improved hearing in noise with dual microphone zoom technology!

In order to provide easier access to the dual microphone zoom technology, in Cochlear Custom Sound™ Suite 3.1, zoom has been moved to the SmartSound™ Noise program.
