Baha® 3 Implant System: Trusted Solution

NEW Tight connection
A tight connection between the implant and the abutment is designed to reduce the risk of micro leakage, in order to prevent any unwanted intrusion of fluid or debris into the internal components of the implant and abutment. Giving you further confidence in the design of the BI300 Implant to reduce unexpected complications.
NEW Tri-lobe lock
The BI300’s new conical connection with a tri-lobe lock virtually eliminates the risk of a malpositioned abutment as it is impossible to engage the abutment screw before the abutment is fully seated on the implant unlike existing implant systems with hexagon coupling.
Biocompatible abutment screw
The abutment is designed with an improved abutment screw made with pure titanium alloy and coated with diamond-like carbon. The result is reduced friction and better clamping force to prevent loosening of the abutment.
Helium tested
The implant abutment connection has been tested using a specially designed helium leak test. These tests conducted at different torque levels demonstrated a 100% helium tight connection between the implant and abutment at torque levels of 15 Ncm and above.
- With the newly designed widening drill, there is virtually no risk of over-countersinking compared to other versions of implant systems.
- The BI300 Drill is designed with a hard stop that signals countersinking is complete.
- The drill’s cutting flutes have also been redesigned to reduce bone heating and facilitate the removal of bone chips.

- As part of Cochlear’s commitment to lifetime support and access to new innovations, the new BA300 Series Abutments are fully compatible with Baha Sound Processors and instruments.
- Patients previously implanted can be assured that the compatible BA210 Series will continue to be available and all future sound processor technologies will be compatible with all abutments.
100% more clearance (with 3 mm of soft tissue)
Unlike external snap coupling systems (estimated 4.5 mm of clearance), Cochlear has designed all of our Baha Sound Processors to snap on the inside of the abutment (6.0 mm of clearance). This creates the most clearance between the snap coupling and the tissue around the abutment site, ensuring the best results.
