Course Description: This course provides new cochlear implant audiologists with information on adult and pediatric candidacy guidelines, medical/surgical overview of the cochlear implant procedure; information on how to counsel a candidate/family member regarding cochlear implantation; information about the current Nucleus 5 Cochlear Implant System, including Neural Response Telemetry (NRT), sound processor programming, using the Remote Assistant and troubleshooting; and information on tools to improve clinic efficiency.
