ITech Training Courses
Course overview: This 3 day course provides in-depth training on all generations of the Nucleus cochlear implant (CI) and Baha® implantable hearing systems; troubleshooting of the devices; billing, coding, and reimbursement; and practical hands-on sessions. The meeting will be highly interactive with a focus on addressing daily product usage, equipment management and reimbursement challenges. The course will be divided by CI and Baha, and participants can attend all or part of the 3-day workshop.
Learner outcomes:
- Troubleshoot the current Nucleus Cochlear Implant Sound Processor/Baha Sound Processor and accessories
- Counsel a candidate/candidate’s family regarding preventative maintenance of Cochlear Implant and Baha sound processors
- Place an electronic return materials authorization (eRMA) request
- Complete the appropriate paperwork and follow up for reimbursement requests
Intended audience: This course is intended for Hearing Instrument Specialists, Technicians, Office Assistants, Audiology Assistants, administrative staff, or other members of an implant center who work with Nucleus cochlear implants and/or Baha, and provide support to the implant team.
