I-Tech Training Course

Course overview: The purpose of this program is to focus on all generations of Nucleus and Baha product lines, troubleshooting of the devices, and reimbursement of implantable hearing solutions.  The session will provide a day of practical hands-on training.  The meeting will be highly interactive with a focus on addressing daily product usage, equipment management and reimbursement challenges.  The first day and a half will focus on cochlear implants and the second day and a half will be Baha specific.  Participants can attend all or part of the 3-day seminar.

Learner outcomes:
· Troubleshoot the current Nucleus Cochlear Implant Sound Processor/Baha Sound Processor and accessories
· Counsel a candidate/candidate’s family regarding preventative maintenance of Cochlear Implant and Baha sound processors
· Place an electronic return materials authorization (eRMA) request
· Complete the appropriate paperwork and follow up for reimbursement requests

Intended audience:
This course is intended for Hearing Instrument Specialists, Technicians, Office Assistants, Audiology Assistants, administrative staff, or other members of an implant center who are new to working with Nucleus cochlear implants and/or Baha, and provide support to the implant team.

Location: the course will be held at Cochlear's US Headquarters in Centenniel, CO (just south of Denver)

Cost: The course is free of charge for all attendees. Participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation. Lunch will be provided for the 3 days of the course.
